# GU & WRU

## Understanding GU and WRU

Two units are important to understanding the Ambassador Contribution Reward Pool:

**GU — Growth Unit**

GU records qualifying Education contribution.

When a participant enters MFORGE Quest through a valid Ambassador referral, completes the required MFORGE education and successfully passes the knowledge challenge, the referring Ambassador earns:

**1 GU**

The participant does not receive GU.

GU recognizes the Ambassador's contribution to bringing an informed participant into the MFORGE Quest journey.

## How GU Converts to WRU

For reward settlement purposes:

**1 GU = 0.025 WRU**

This means Education contribution becomes part of the Ambassador's overall Eligible WRU.

For example:

| Education Contribution | Education WRU |
| ---------------------- | ------------- |
| 1 GU | 0.025 WRU |
| 10 GU | 0.25 WRU |
| 100 GU | 2.5 WRU |
| 400 GU | 10 WRU |
| 1,000 GU | 25 WRU |
| 4,000 GU | 100 WRU |

This is intentional.

Education matters, but MFORGE Quest is designed to reward more than orientation completion alone.

Acquisition and Retention therefore contribute substantially more WRU to an Ambassador's overall campaign contribution.

## WRU — Weighted Reward Unit

WRU is the unit used to measure qualifying Ambassador contribution for the Ambassador Contribution Reward Pool.

An Ambassador can generate WRU from three sources:

**1. Education WRU**

Generated from qualifying GU.

**1 GU = 0.025 WRU**

**2. Acquisition WRU**

Generated when an attributed participant satisfies applicable qualifying MFORGE acquisition requirements.

**3. Retention WRU**

Generated when an attributed Qualified Holder satisfies applicable retention milestones.

Together:

**Eligible WRU = Education WRU + Acquisition WRU + Retention WRU**

## Education Contribution

Suppose Daniel refers 100 genuine participants.

All 100 complete the required MFORGE education and pass the knowledge challenge.

Daniel earns:

**100 GU**

Using the conversion:

**100 × 0.025 = 2.5 WRU**

Daniel therefore receives:

**2.5 Education WRU**

This WRU becomes part of his Eligible WRU, subject to applicable campaign verification and settlement rules.

## Acquisition Contribution

When an attributed participant reaches the minimum qualifying acquisition and becomes a Qualified Founding Holder, the Ambassador can receive Acquisition WRU.

The amount depends on the participant's applicable qualifying acquisition tier.

| Qualifying Acquisition | Acquisition WRU |
| ---------------------- | --------------- |
| $25–$49 | 12.5 WRU |
| $50–$99 | 17.5 WRU |
| $100–$249 | 25 WRU |
| $250–$499 | 32.5 WRU |
| $500+ | 40 WRU |

The acquisition must satisfy MFORGE Quest qualification and integrity requirements.

Direct transfers, reward transfers or artificial wallet activity do not create qualifying Acquisition WRU.

<details>

<summary>How Acquisition Tier Upgrades Work</summary>

**Acquisition WRU is based on the participant's highest qualifying acquisition tier reached during the applicable Acquisition Tier Window.**

The tiers are not added together.

For example:

Tiffany initially reaches:

**$25 qualifying acquisition**

Daniel receives:

**12.5 Acquisition WRU**

Later, within Tiffany's applicable Acquisition Tier Window, her cumulative qualifying acquisition reaches:

**$75**

The $50–$99 tier is worth:

**17.5 WRU**

Daniel does not receive another 17.5 WRU.

He receives only the difference:

**17.5 − 12.5 = 5 additional WRU**

His total Acquisition WRU from Tiffany becomes:

**17.5 WRU**

This prevents the same acquisition journey from being rewarded multiple times.

</details>

## The Acquisition Tier Window

The Acquisition Tier Window begins when a participant first reaches the minimum:

**$25 cumulative qualifying acquisition**

and becomes a Qualified Founding Holder.

The participant then has an applicable 30-day Acquisition Tier Window during which additional qualifying acquisition may increase the Ambassador's Acquisition WRU tier.

This is separate from the [30-day Referral Attribution Window](/docs/quest/ambassador-guide/referral-and-attribution.md) explained in the previous section.

## Retention Contribution

MFORGE Quest also recognizes Ambassadors who build participation that continues beyond the initial acquisition.

Retention WRU is awarded at three applicable checkpoints:

| Retention Checkpoint | Retention WRU |
| --------------------- | ------------- |
| Day 14 | 2.5 WRU |
| Day 30 | 10 WRU |
| Day 90 | 40 WRU |
| Maximum Retention WRU | 52.5 WRU |

For the applicable checkpoint to qualify, the participant must satisfy the campaign's 80% retention requirement.

Each participant is assessed individually.

<details>

<summary>Example: One $25 Founding Holder Journey</summary>

Suppose Daniel refers Tiffany.

Tiffany completes education.

Daniel receives:

**1 GU = 0.025 WRU**

Tiffany reaches the $25 qualifying acquisition threshold.

Daniel receives:

**12.5 Acquisition WRU**

Tiffany satisfies Day 14 retention.

Daniel receives:

**2.5 Retention WRU**

Tiffany satisfies Day 30 retention.

Daniel receives:

**10 Retention WRU**

Tiffany satisfies Day 90 retention.

Daniel receives:

**40 Retention WRU**

Daniel's total contribution from Tiffany's complete journey is therefore:

| Contribution | WRU |
| ---------------- | ---------- |
| Education | 0.025 |
| Acquisition | 12.5 |
| Day 14 Retention | 2.5 |
| Day 30 Retention | 10 |
| Day 90 Retention | 40 |
| Total | 65.025 WRU |

This example shows why MFORGE Quest rewards quality of participation, not simply the number of referral links distributed.

## Minimum WRU Required for an Epoch

MFORGE Quest rewards are settled through campaign epochs.

To participate in an epoch settlement, an Ambassador must have at least:

**100 Eligible WRU**

This is the:

**Minimum WRU Settlement Threshold**

If an Ambassador has:

**80 Eligible WRU**

they have not yet reached the minimum required to participate in settlement.

If an Ambassador has:

**100 Eligible WRU**

they have reached the minimum.

If an Ambassador has:

**137 Eligible WRU**

all 137 Eligible WRU participate in the applicable settlement calculation.

The Ambassador is not limited to blocks of 100 WRU.

## What Happens If I Have Less Than 100 WRU?

Approved WRU below the minimum settlement threshold is not automatically lost.

It remains available to carry forward in accordance with the campaign's settlement rules until the Ambassador reaches the required:

**100 Eligible WRU**

For example:

**Epoch 1**

Daniel finishes with:

**62 Eligible WRU**

He does not participate in that epoch's reward settlement.

His approved WRU carries forward.

**Epoch 2**

Daniel generates:

**55 additional Eligible WRU**

His available Eligible WRU becomes:

**62 + 55 = 117 WRU**

Daniel has now exceeded the 100 WRU minimum.

**117 WRU enters the applicable settlement calculation.**

Once WRU has been successfully settled, it is marked as settled and cannot be used again in a future settlement.

## What Does “Eligible WRU” Mean?

Not every recorded WRU automatically enters settlement.

WRU must satisfy the applicable campaign requirements.

Contribution may move through statuses such as:

**PENDING**

Activity has been detected but is not yet approved for settlement.

**APPROVED**

The contribution has satisfied the applicable requirements and can become Eligible WRU.

**SETTLED**

The WRU has already participated in a completed settlement and cannot be used again.

**REJECTED**

The activity did not satisfy the applicable campaign requirements.

**REVERSED**

Previously recorded contribution was later invalidated under applicable campaign integrity rules.

Only qualifying Approved, unsettled WRU is considered Eligible WRU for settlement.

## WRU Is Not MFORGE

This distinction is important.

**WRU is a campaign contribution and settlement unit.**

It is not:

* MFORGE
* A stablecoin
* Cash
* A transferable token
* A guaranteed financial entitlement

WRU is used to determine qualifying participation in the Ambassador Contribution Reward Pool.

The actual reward, if approved, is calculated in USD-equivalent value and settled in MFORGE.

**What Happens to My WRU After Settlement?**

Once Eligible WRU participates in a completed settlement:

**It becomes SETTLED WRU.**

Settled WRU cannot participate in another epoch settlement.

For example:

Daniel enters an epoch with:

**137 Eligible WRU**

All 137 WRU participate in settlement.

After successful settlement:

**137 WRU → SETTLED**

Daniel begins accumulating new Eligible WRU toward a future settlement.

This prevents the same contribution from being rewarded repeatedly.

**Your Rewards Dashboard**

Your MFORGE Quest Ambassador dashboard should help you understand where you stand without requiring you to perform the calculations yourself.

For example:

**AMBASSADOR REWARDS**

**Education**

GU Earned: 120 GU Education WRU: 3.00 WRU

**Acquisition WRU: 87.50**

**Retention WRU: 42.50**

**Total Eligible WRU: 133.00**

Minimum for Settlement: 100 WRU ✓

**Settlement Status: Eligible**

\[VIEW REWARD DETAILS]

Before settlement is finalized, any displayed USD or MFORGE reward amount should be identified as an estimate.

**The $20,000 Pool Is Separate From RHAU**

The Ambassador Contribution Reward Pool has a maximum campaign allocation of:

**Up to $20,000 worth of MFORGE**

MFORGE Quest also has a separate:

**Up to $10,000 Retained Holder Achievement Pool**

The two reward systems recognize different forms of Ambassador contribution.

The $20,000 pool uses Eligible WRU.

**The $10,000 pool uses RHAU milestones based on qualifying retained holders.**

An Ambassador may potentially qualify under both reward systems if the applicable requirements are satisfied.

RHAU is explained in the next dedicated guide.

**Remember**

**1 GU = 0.025 WRU**

GU recognizes qualifying Education contribution.

**WRU recognizes Education + Acquisition + Retention**

These combine to form your Eligible WRU.

**100 Eligible WRU is the minimum required to participate in an epoch settlement**

It is an eligibility threshold—not a 100-WRU redemption block.

**Approved WRU can carry forward until settlement eligibility is reached**

Once WRU is settled, it cannot be used again.

**WRU does not have a guaranteed dollar value**

Its settlement value depends on the applicable epoch calculation and is subject to the maximum WRU rate.

**Ambassador status does not guarantee rewards**

Contribution must satisfy applicable campaign rules, verification, integrity and settlement requirements.

**Next: Retained Holder Achievement Rewards — RHAU**

WRU rewards contribution throughout individual participant journeys.

But MFORGE Quest also recognizes something different:

**How many genuine retained holders can you build?**

The next section explains the separate Retained Holder Achievement Pool, including the:

**25 → 50 → 100 → 250 → 500+**

retained-holder milestones and how qualifying Ambassadors participate in the up to $10,000 RHAU Reward Pool.
