# Referral & Attribution

## How MFORGE Quest Protects Ambassador Referrals

When an Ambassador introduces someone to MFORGE Quest, the campaign needs a fair and consistent way to determine which Ambassador receives attribution for that participant.

The MFORGE Quest attribution system is designed to:

**Recognize genuine introductions**

**Protect Ambassadors from referral poaching**

**Give participants time to learn before deciding whether to acquire MFORGE**

**Prevent the same participant from being repeatedly attributed to different Ambassadors**

This section explains how referral attribution works from the moment a participant enters the Quest.

## What Is Referral Attribution?

Every activated MFORGE Quest Ambassador receives a unique Ambassador ID and referral link.

For example:

Ambassador ID: MFA000003

When Daniel shares his MFORGE Quest referral link and Tiffany enters the Quest through that link, the campaign records Daniel as Tiffany's referring Ambassador.

This creates an initial referral attribution between:

**Daniel → Tiffany**

However, entering through a referral link does not immediately make Tiffany a Founding Holder, and it does not automatically generate an Ambassador acquisition reward.

Tiffany must continue through the applicable MFORGE Quest journey.

## The 30-Day Referral Attribution Window

When a participant enters MFORGE Quest through an Ambassador's valid referral link, a:

**30-Day Referral Attribution Window**

begins.

During this period, the campaign remembers the Ambassador who introduced the participant.

For example:

**Day 1**

Tiffany enters MFORGE Quest through Daniel's referral link.

Daniel becomes Tiffany's initial referring Ambassador.

Tiffany can then complete her education, knowledge challenge, register her wallet and decide whether she wants to continue toward becoming a Founding Holder.

She does not have to acquire MFORGE immediately simply because she entered through Daniel's link.

## First Valid Attribution Wins

MFORGE Quest uses a first valid attribution principle.

If a participant has already entered through a valid Ambassador referral and that attribution remains active, clicking another Ambassador's referral link does not replace the existing attribution.

For example:

Tiffany first enters through Daniel's valid referral link.

Five days later, she clicks Sarah's referral link.

If Daniel's attribution is still valid:

**Daniel remains the attributed Ambassador.**

Sarah does not replace Daniel simply because Tiffany clicked Sarah's link later.

This helps protect Ambassadors who genuinely introduced participants to MFORGE Quest.

## When Does Attribution Become Locked?

A participant's Ambassador attribution becomes permanently locked for that participant's MFORGE Quest campaign lifecycle when the system confirms their:

**First Verified MFORGE Acquisition**

Importantly, that acquisition does not need to reach the $25 Founding Holder qualification threshold.

For example:

Daniel refers Tiffany.

Tiffany completes the required education and registers her wallet.

She then makes her first verified MFORGE acquisition:

**$5 equivalent of MFORGE**

Tiffany is not yet a Qualified Founding Holder, because she has not reached the cumulative $25 qualification threshold.

However:

**Daniel's attribution is now locked.**

If Tiffany later reaches $25, $50, $100 or another qualifying acquisition level, Daniel remains her attributed Ambassador for the campaign.

<details>

<summary>Why Does Attribution Lock Before $25?</summary>

This rule protects the Ambassador who genuinely introduced the participant.

Without it, a participant could begin acquiring MFORGE through one Ambassador and then be redirected through another Ambassador before reaching $25.

For example:

Daniel introduces Tiffany.

Tiffany acquires $10 of MFORGE.

Sarah later sends Tiffany another referral link.

Tiffany eventually acquires another $15.

Without attribution locking, there could be a dispute over whether Daniel or Sarah should receive attribution.

Under MFORGE Quest:

**Daniel introduced Tiffany**

↓

**Tiffany made her first verified acquisition while attributed to Daniel**

↓

**Daniel's attribution locked**

↓

**Tiffany later reaches $25**

↓

**Daniel remains the attributed Ambassador**

This provides a clear and consistent rule for everyone.

</details>

## Attribution and Founding Holder Qualification Are Different

This distinction is important.

**Ambassador Attribution**

Determines which Ambassador is associated with a participant's applicable campaign contribution.

**Founding Holder Qualification**

Determines whether the participant has reached the minimum cumulative qualifying acquisition required to become an MFORGE Founding Holder.

They do not necessarily happen at the same time.

For example:

| Event                        | Tiffany's Status      | Daniel's Attribution |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------- | -------------------- |
| Enters through Daniel's link | Participant           | Active               |
| Completes education          | Education Complete    | Active               |
| Acquires $5 MFORGE           | $5 / $25              | Locked               |
| Acquires another $10         | $15 / $25             | Locked               |
| Acquires another $10         | $25 / $25 — Qualified | Locked               |
| Receives Founding Holder #   | Founding Holder       | Locked               |

So:

**First verified acquisition → locks attribution**

while:

**$25 cumulative qualifying acquisition → establishes Founding Holder qualification**

These are two separate campaign events.

<details>

<summary>What Happens If No MFORGE Acquisition Occurs Within 30 Days?</summary>

If a participant does not make a verified MFORGE acquisition during the applicable 30-day referral attribution window, the initial Ambassador attribution may expire.

For example:

Daniel refers Tiffany on Day 1.

Tiffany completes education but does not make a verified MFORGE acquisition during the attribution period.

After the applicable 30-day window ends, Daniel's initial referral attribution may expire.

If Tiffany later returns to MFORGE Quest through another valid Ambassador referral, a new attribution may be established in accordance with the campaign rules.

This prevents an inactive referral from permanently attaching a participant to an Ambassador when no qualifying acquisition activity followed the introduction.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What Happens to Education Contribution If Attribution Later Expires?</summary>

Education contribution and acquisition attribution should not be confused.

If Daniel genuinely introduced Tiffany and Tiffany successfully completes the required MFORGE education and knowledge challenge through Daniel's valid referral journey, Daniel may receive the applicable Education contribution.

If Tiffany never acquires MFORGE and Daniel's acquisition attribution later expires, that does not automatically erase a previously valid Education contribution.

The education activity genuinely occurred.

However, Daniel would not receive Acquisition or Retention contribution from Tiffany unless the applicable attribution and qualification requirements are satisfied.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can a Participant Change Their Ambassador?</summary>

Before attribution becomes locked, an initial referral may expire according to the campaign's attribution rules.

Once a participant completes their first verified MFORGE acquisition while validly attributed to an Ambassador:

**That attribution cannot be voluntarily switched to another Ambassador for the participant's campaign lifecycle.**

This applies even if the first acquisition was below $25.

This rule protects campaign integrity and prevents Ambassadors from competing to take over participants who have already begun their acquisition journey.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can Another Ambassador Claim an Existing Participant?</summary>

No.

An Ambassador cannot legitimately claim another Ambassador's already-attributed participant simply by:

* Sending the participant a new referral link
* Asking the participant to register again
* Asking them to use another Telegram account
* Asking them to register another wallet
* Encouraging them to create a duplicate participant profile
* Moving MFORGE between wallets

Attempts to manipulate participant attribution may be reviewed under the MFORGE Quest Campaign Integrity rules.

</details>

## One Participant, One Campaign Identity

MFORGE Quest is designed around genuine individual participation.

A participant should not create multiple campaign identities simply to generate additional Ambassador contribution or rewards.

A Registered Wallet cannot be reused to create another qualifying participant account.

Where duplicate or suspicious participation is detected, the applicable activity may be flagged for review.

This helps ensure that Ambassador contribution reflects genuine community growth rather than artificial account creation.

<details>

<summary>What If a Participant Uses a Different Wallet?</summary>

Participants should use the BNB Smart Chain wallet they registered with MFORGE Quest for their qualifying campaign activity.

An acquisition from an unrelated or unregistered wallet may not automatically be associated with the participant's Quest account.

Participants should therefore confirm that the correct wallet is registered before completing qualifying MFORGE activity.

If a legitimate wallet change is required, the participant should use the applicable account or support process rather than creating a duplicate Quest identity.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What If a Participant Becomes an Ambassador?</summary>

A participant attributed to an Ambassador can later become an Ambassador themselves.

For example:

Sarah refers Daniel.

Daniel completes the required education.

Sarah receives the applicable Education contribution.

Daniel later completes Ambassador Certification and is activated as:

**MFA000120**

Daniel can now refer new participants using his own referral link.

His new Ambassador status does not cancel Sarah's legitimate contribution for introducing him.

It also does not generate a second Education contribution for Sarah.

**One participant = one qualifying education completion = one applicable Education contribution.**

Daniel cannot refer himself or generate Ambassador contribution from his own campaign activity.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What If an Ambassador Is Also a Founding Holder?</summary>

An Ambassador may independently qualify as a Founding Holder.

However, their personal Founding Holder activity does not become a self-referral.

For example:

Daniel is:

**Ambassador MFA000003**

He later independently qualifies as:

**MFORGE Founding Holder #0427**

Daniel cannot attribute his own Founding Holder journey to MFA000003 to generate Ambassador contribution or rewards for himself.

Self-referral is not qualifying Ambassador contribution.

</details>

## Direct Transfers Do Not Create Acquisition Attribution

Sending MFORGE from one wallet to another does not constitute a qualifying acquisition for MFORGE Quest.

For example:

Daniel transfers MFORGE directly to Tiffany's wallet.

That transfer does not:

* ✕ Qualify Tiffany as a Founding Holder
* ✕ Lock acquisition attribution as a verified purchase
* ✕ Generate Acquisition contribution for Daniel

Qualifying acquisition must satisfy the applicable MFORGE Quest acquisition and integrity requirements.

<details>

<summary>Ambassador Attribution Timeline</summary>

Here is a complete example:

**DAY 1 — Referral**

Daniel shares his unique MFORGE Quest referral link.

Tiffany enters the Quest.

Attribution: Daniel — Active

**DAY 2 — Education**

Tiffany completes orientation and passes the knowledge challenge.

Education contribution: Daniel may receive the applicable Education contribution.

Attribution: Daniel — Active

**DAY 5 — First Acquisition**

Tiffany makes a verified $5 MFORGE acquisition.

**Founding Holder progress: $5 / $25**

**Attribution: Daniel — Locked**

Founding Holder: Not yet qualified

**DAY 12 — Second Acquisition**

Tiffany acquires another $10.

**Founding Holder progress: $15 / $25**

Attribution: Daniel — Locked

**DAY 18 — Qualification**

Tiffany acquires another $10.

Cumulative qualifying acquisition:

**$25 / $25 ✓**

Tiffany becomes a Qualified Founding Holder.

She receives her Founding Holder number.

Daniel becomes eligible for the applicable Acquisition contribution, subject to campaign rules and verification.

Tiffany's retention journey begins from her qualification date.

**AFTER QUALIFICATION**

Applicable retention milestones associated with Tiffany may contribute to Daniel's Ambassador performance if the required retention conditions are satisfied.

</details>

## Referral Window vs Acquisition Tier Window

MFORGE Quest uses two separate 30-day periods.

They serve different purposes.

**30-Day Referral Attribution Window**

Starts: When the participant enters through the Ambassador's referral.

Purpose: Determines how long the initial Ambassador attribution remains available to become locked by the participant's first verified MFORGE acquisition.

**30-Day Acquisition Tier Window**

Starts: When the participant first reaches the $25 cumulative qualifying acquisition threshold.

Purpose: Determines the period during which additional qualifying acquisitions may increase the Ambassador's applicable Acquisition contribution tier.

This distinction protects participants who take time to reach the qualification threshold.

For example:

Tiffany enters Daniel's referral on Day 1.

She makes her first verified $5 acquisition on Day 20.

Daniel's attribution locks.

Tiffany reaches $25 on Day 28.

**Her Acquisition Tier Window begins on Day 28, not Day 1.**

She therefore receives the full applicable acquisition-tier period after becoming qualified.

## Protecting Fair Attribution

The MFORGE Quest attribution system is built around four principles:

**First valid attribution wins.**

An active valid referral is not replaced simply because another referral link is clicked.

**First verified acquisition locks attribution.**

The participant does not need to reach $25 before their Ambassador attribution is protected.

**Founding Holder qualification remains separate.**

A participant becomes a Qualified Founding Holder only after reaching the applicable cumulative qualifying acquisition threshold.

**No self-referral or artificial attribution.**

Duplicate accounts, wallet rotation and other attempts to manufacture Ambassador contribution may be rejected or reversed.

<details>

<summary>If Attribution Is Under Review</summary>

In some cases, campaign activity may be flagged for integrity review.

During a review, the relevant Ambassador contribution may remain pending.

A review may consider applicable campaign information such as referral records, participant account activity, registered wallet information and qualifying blockchain activity.

Depending on the outcome, the contribution may be:

**APPROVED**

**REJECTED**

or, where previously credited activity is later found to violate campaign rules:

**REVERSED**

The existence of a blockchain transaction alone does not guarantee Ambassador reward eligibility if the underlying activity does not satisfy the MFORGE Quest rules.

</details>

## Remember

**Referral ≠ Reward**

Sharing a referral link alone does not create an Ambassador reward.

**Education is a real contribution**

A genuine referred participant who completes the required education can create the applicable Education contribution even if they do not immediately become a Founding Holder.

**First verified acquisition locks attribution**

Even when the acquisition is below $25.

**$25 establishes Founding Holder qualification**

Once the cumulative qualifying acquisition reaches the applicable threshold and is verified.

**Retention begins after qualification**

The participant's applicable retention checkpoints are measured from their own qualification date.

**Self-referrals do not qualify**

An Ambassador cannot generate qualifying Ambassador contribution from their own Participant or Founding Holder journey.

### Next: Ambassador Rewards

Now that you understand who receives attribution, the next section explains what happens when attributed participants complete qualifying actions.

You'll learn how MFORGE Quest recognizes Ambassador contribution across:

**Education → Acquisition → Retention**

and how that contribution becomes eligible for the Ambassador Contribution Reward Pool.
